Iodine Profile

• The Iodine Profile is a simple urine test that measures your iodine levels to assess if you’re getting enough of this essential nutrient. Iodine is crucial for thyroid function, energy levels, and overall health. It plays a key role in hormone production, metabolism, and brain function. A deficiency in iodine can lead to symptoms like fatigue, dry skin, weight gain, and even brain fog. This test helps identify if low iodine levels may be affecting your health, including your thyroid, metabolism, and cognitive function.

• This is a home testing kit. Your test kit will arrive (within 1 week from the day of purchase) with full instructions, a completed request form and a prepaid return label*.

Important things to know and consider 

• Certain medications can affect urine creatinine levels (e.g. Tagamet). Thyroid supporting prescriptions, nutrients, and botanicals may influence test results.  Let your practitioner know about your use of these medications before doing this test. Do not change use of medications unless instructed to do so by your healthcare provider.
• For a baseline analysis, discontinue non-essential medications or supplements 48 hours prior to the test.
• This test should not be performed on individuals with kidney disorders or using diuretics.
