Last year, at 25 years of age, Charlie found a small lump in her right breast. Like most young women, this was not something she was expecting but was very aware that she should get it checked. After an ultrasound and biopsy, she was told it was malignant and needed to be removed. Charlie was very brave and had the malignant lump removed in a partial mastectomy. The recovery took longer than expected but she worked with a specialist trainer to gain her strength back and was able to get back to fighting fit in just a couple of months.
Later on that year, she was introduced to Thermographic breast scans as a preventative method of monitoring her breast health. We asked Charlie a few questions below about her experience with Dr Eccles.
1. How did you come to hear about Thermographic breast scans?
I was introduced to it by a friend.
2. What was your experience with Dr.Eccles?
He was very patient and calm in his approach and made sure I understood everything that was going on with the scan. I felt at ease which I think is very important when you are dealing with your health.
3. How do you feel about mammograms vs Thermographic breast scan?
I haven’t had a mammogram myself due to my age, but from what I know about them I would far prefer to have a thermographic breast scan as it is not invasive or uncomfortable at all.
4. How did the treatment help your situation?
The scan showed up certain areas of concern which highlighted to me that I need to be preventative and take care of my overall breast health. I am now stocked up on all the supplements I need to ensure I am doing everything I can do to keep as healthy as possible.
5. Can you recommend Dr.Eccles for breast scanning to your friends and family?
I can do and I have been recommending him to everyone I speak to.
6. What’s one point of advice you could give to people who haven’t yet had a breast scan?
I would say don’t be afraid of what might be, because the earlier you get yourself checked, the less likely it is going to be bad news. It’s always better to act in preventative measures than to try and fix something later on. So know your body and if anything is worrying you, get it checked out right away.
